When it comes to data management, Data Analysts ensure understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management. This includes managing metadata, lineage, and business definitions. Who is the Ideal Candidate for this Role?
The ideal candidate for the Data Analyst role at Capital One is someone with a degree specialized in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline. They should have scripting experience in Python, R, Spark, and SQL. A strong desire and experience with data in various forms, including data warehouses/SQL and unstructured data, is essential. They should also have experience utilizing and developing within Snowflake services.
There are also a few basic and preferred qualifications. These include a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field, experience with scripting languages, business intelligence visualization tools, and data languages and platforms. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline, coding experience in Python, R, Spark, or SQL, and experience with process management and improvement methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
