TD, one of the world’s leading global financial institutions and the fifth-largest bank in North America, is currently seeking a Banking Associate for our Mount Laurel, New Jersey location. This role is pivotal in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store level, offering rewarding growth opportunities and skill development. Our compensation policies are designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they advance in their roles. The base salary for this position is between $22.00 – $27.75 USD per hour, based on a 20-hour work week. However, the actual offered pay may vary depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.

As a banking associate, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, processing everyday banking transactions, and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools that can help our customers achieve their financial goals. Key Responsibilities of the Banking Associate

As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. You will also be responsible for building trust with customers, providing consultative support, and advocating for the customer with proactive insights and recommendations. Utilizing TD’s systems and tools, you will engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to ultimately attract and retain the customer.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers. This customer service experience could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Previous teller experience is preferred, but not required. You will need to have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required, and a Notary License is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The role involves frequent sedentary work, performing multiple tasks, and operating standard office equipment. You must also be able to respond quickly to sounds, sit and stand frequently, walk regularly, and move safely in confined spaces. Certain physical activities such as lifting/carrying items (under 25 lbs. and over 25 lbs.), squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead and forward, pushing, pulling, twisting, and concentrating for long periods are required occasionally.
