Key Responsibilities and Expectations
The chosen candidate will take part in a comprehensive Wells Fargo Advisors training program designed to help meet personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals within the Financial Advisory – Bank function. More specifically, the Associate Bank Financial Advisor will:
- Review basic or tactical client goals and risk tolerance
- Evaluate investment profiles
- Assess client financial needs related to lower risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact
This Loan Originator (LO) position involves customer contact, needs assessing, and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. The role also encompasses assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Additionally, as an LO, you must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) as outlined in the job expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
Prospective candidates should have at least six months of experience in Customer Service, Sales, Relationship Building, or equivalent. This can be demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education. A successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or equivalent is necessary.
Desirable qualifications include:
- FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66, or FINRA recognized equivalents
- Experience in financial services and client services
- At least six months of client or sales services experience
- Experience in developing and managing client relationships
- Sales or sales support experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher
Job Expectations
Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. This includes meeting the financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation.
The position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements and specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing. The successful candidate will also be expected to comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
