Role Roadmap: Strategic Finance
As a member of the Strategic Finance team, your role will encompass forecasting, modeling, cash management, investor reporting, and cross-functional planning. You will work across different teams to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights to aid high-impact decision-making for the first regulated event-trading exchange.
Kalshi values critical thinking, clean modeling, and effective collaboration over experience, opening doors for candidates at varying stages in their careers. The primary responsibilities of the role include modeling and forecasting, investor and fundraising support, cash management and planning, market and competitive analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do
The Strategic Finance role is multifaceted, involving tasks such as building financial models for budgets, forecasts, and scenario planning, analyzing business performance and key metrics, and preparing materials for investor updates, board meetings, and fundraising rounds. Additionally, you will manage cash forecasting to align with the company’s growth goals and research market trends to inform strategic decisions.
What You Bring to the Table
Successful candidates will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, and a solid understanding of financial models. Experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity is preferred. Individuals who can effectively collaborate across different teams, possess a self-starter mentality, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment are particularly well-suited to this role.
