Job Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate will be entrusted with delivering TD Bank’s Brand promise by accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools. This role involves performing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
The Banking Associate will be expected to build trust with customers by providing educational content and tools, offer consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights and recommendations. This role will also involve using TD Bank’s systems and tools to engage with customers to deepen relationships and attract new ones, while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of one year’s experience working with customers in any capacity is also required. This could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines are essential for this role.
Customer and Employee Accountabilities
The Banking Associate will be responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They will also be expected to establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times for customer meetings, and understand and support the bank’s customer service strategy.
As an employee, the Banking Associate will contribute to a positive work environment and participate fully as a team member. They will be expected to actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards and positively embrace change. The associate may also train and act as a mentor to newer colleagues.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The role requires the candidate to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment. Occasional domestic travel may be required. The job involves frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting and carrying of items under and over 25 lbs. may also be required. The ability to concentrate for long periods of time and perform mathematical operations is crucial.
