Job Description
The Banking Associate position at TD is integral to delivering the bank’s brand promise at the store location. Accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, this role also involves providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to assist customers in achieving their financial goals.
Responsibilities
As a TD Banking Associate, you will perform a wide range of tasks that involve processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. Part of your duty is to deliver end-to-end advice that customers expect, including building trust, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.
Education and Experience
Candidates for this position are required to have at least a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers. This could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Apart from a strong organizational ability, excellent communication skills, and effective problem-solving skills, candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Customer Accountabilities
TD Bank places a high importance on providing legendary customer service. As a Banking Associate, you’ll be expected to consistently deliver this level of service by transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You will also need to manage wait times to meet with a banker by scheduling, rescheduling or canceling client meetings.
