The Banking Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering the TD Bank’s brand promise at the store location. The key responsibilities include accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth and Scope of the Role
The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location, such as processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate is expected to understand customer financial needs and identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services. They also refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate position should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, and the candidate is required to complete Teller training and part of platform training upon hire. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a Notary License is preferred.
